Mapei Eco Prim Grip Plus is a universal, ready-to-use primer with very low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC). It improves the adhesion of various types of plaster, leveling and smoothing layers, and the bonding of ceramic tiles. It can be applied to substrates such as concrete, brick, compacted concrete, lightweight blocks and plaster. In addition, Eco Prim Grip is suitable for improving the adhesion of adhesives on non-absorbent surfaces, such as ceramic, terrazzo and natural stone floors.

The primer is solvent-free and consists of synthetic resin in aqueous dispersion and selected inert substances. It has excellent adhesion, resistance to water and aging. Eco Prim Grip creates a rough bonding surface and ensures good adhesion on smooth or poorly absorbent surfaces. It evenly distributes the water absorption of absorbent substrates. The product is suitable for strong adhesion of cement-bound plaster on various substrates, such as concrete, aerated concrete blocks, brick, plasterboard, wood, ceramic, metal and plaster.

It is important to apply it at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C and not to use it on surfaces with rising damp or surfaces that are continuously under water. The waiting time before plastering can take place is 15-20 minutes, depending on the temperature and porosity of the substrate. A waiting time of 30 minutes is required before applying a leveling compound. Consumption varies from 0.20 to 0.30 kg/m², depending on the absorbency of the substrate.
