Mapefer 1K is a one-component anti-corrosion cement mortar used for the protection of reinforcing bars. It provides corrosion-inhibiting protection for concrete reinforcing bars and serves as an adhesion promoter for mortars used for concrete repairs. It can be used when repairing concrete with a shrinkage-compensated mortar or with a traditional cement mortar modified with a synthetic latex. In addition, it is suitable for underground concrete constructions.

It is recommended to apply two layers of Mapefer 1K, the total thickness of the two layers must be at least 2 mm. It is important to wait for Mapefer 1K to dry (after about 6 hours at +20°C) before making any repairs.

Consumption of Mapefer 1K ranges from 100 g/m for a rebar with a diameter of 8 mm to 200 g/m for a rebar of 16 mm (at a thickness of 2 mm applied).
