Sakrete Lime Cement Cutting Joint Mortar

Lime cement cutting joint mortar is a dry mortar that is produced in the factory according to a historical recipe. It can be used for shearing, cutting and revealing both old and new masonry, both indoors and outdoors, and is suitable for almost all types of stone. The composition of the mortar is according to the historical recipe: 1 part white Portland cement, 5 parts lime and 10 parts sand.

For the processing of the mortar it is important that the masonry is at least 3 weeks old. At low temperatures and hard stones, a longer waiting time is recommended and highly absorbent stones must be moistened beforehand. Apply the mortar to the joint using the correct method for this type of joint.

A 25 kg bag yields approximately 16 liters of ready-to-use cutting joint mortar. It is important to note that Lime Cement Cut Joint Mortar may not be processed at temperatures lower than +5°C or higher than +25°C, both for the facade and the ambient temperature.
